Former Mississippi Gov. Ray Mabus has tackled the job of helping Barack Obama win the White House with the same zeal and determination that he brought to his effort to reform Mississippi politics.
One of a couple of dozen surrogates for the likely Democratic presidential nominee, Mabus is making the rounds of radio and television interviews at the Democratic National Convention in Denver, praising Obama’s policies and character.
“I think the main message is we’ve got an opportunity to win in November,” Mabus said.
