Oxford attorney Grady Tollison says a settlement has been reached in the civil lawsuit that erupted in a high profile bribery scheme and led to the downfall of famed plaintiffs lawyer Richard “Dickie” Scruggs and several associates.
Tollison did not disclose terms of the agreement.
Tollison had represented the Jackson law firm of Jones, Funderburg, Sessums, Patterson & Lee when the firm sued Scruggs and others in March 2007 for a bigger share of $26.5 million in legal fees from Hurricane Katrina insurance cases.
