Oil crews set up at Madison City Hall

By: Magnolia Tribune - July 30, 2008

The Clarion-Ledger, 7/30/8

The city of Madison filed a trespassing charge against crews working for a Texas-based oil company this week, but that didn’t stop workers from setting up equipment on City Hall grounds Tuesday.

“I would certainly say they are bold,” Madison Mayor Mary Hawkins Butler said.

Denbury Resources, the largest oil and gas company in Mississippi, is surveying Madison County for carbon dioxide that could be used to increase oil production.
