Last Sunday, I wrote about a recent visit to the Gulf Coast and the very complex problems that still confront many Mississippians there – problems of affordable housing, insurance woes and the difficulty in rebuilding one’s life in that struggling environment.
Want to criticize the Federal Emergency Management Agency? I’ll help you. At the very top levels, FEMA failed to engage as the 2005 storm approached Mississippi and on the ground in Mississippi and Louisiana, the agency failed the victims of Katrina on too many levels to list here.
“Heckuva job, Brownie!” – my rear end. Heck of a debacle.
