Hornets could by eyeing Memphis’ Douglas-Roberts

Chris Douglas-Roberts must have smiled when he found out that his 10th and final workout for an NBA franchise prior to Thursday’s draft would be at Tulane’s Fogelman Arena.
The Memphis standout has had two fairly good trips to the Uptown campus, making 5-of-7 shots and scoring 13 points while grabbing seven boards as a freshman before hitting 13-of-17 shots for 29 points this past season as a junior.
Memphis and Douglas-Roberts won both games, mastering the Green Wave 105-65 in 2006 and 97-71 this past February.
“I had some good times here,” Douglas-Roberts said. “Some real good times here.”
He hopes his play Tuesday in a workout at Fogelman with the Hornets turns the trick one more time.
The workout was moved to Tulane’s campus because the circus is currently showing at the New Orleans Arena. Regardless of where the several-hour workout happened, Douglas-Roberts impressed.
“Chris looked pretty good,” Hornets head coach Byron Scott said. “He didn’t do anything we didn’t expect. He was pretty solid.”
