The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal, 6/11/8
If you thought Mississippi’s U.S. Senate race had gone underground, think again. It just came up for air.
Tuesday, Democrat Ronnie Musgrove came out swinging – criticizing Republican Roger Wicker for refusing to debate him at the Neshoba County Fair and challenging him to a series of town hall meetings.
The national Democrats also took off after Wicker about his vote on two Senate energy bills.
Musgrove and Wicker face each other on a Nov. 4 special election ballot as Americans choose their next president. Wicker of Tupelo, appointed to serve until the election, faces the former governor, a Batesville native.
