Susan Sarandon’s Histrionics

Seems Susan Sarandon has threatened to move to Canada or Italy if John McCain is elected president.

To which I say, “Why wait so long?”

Many of us could not believe it when Bill Clinton was elected president in 1992. But it never occurred to us to leave the country when he won (as much as I’d still like to see Italy).

A fair part of patriotism is demonstrating fealty to the country even when we think the government has run amok. But it looks like Ms. Sarandon would be willing to cash it in just because she disagrees with the majority of voters if they choose Sen. McCain this fall. It doesn’t seem to matter to her what the government might actually look like or do in a McCain Administration.
