‘Lettuce Ladies’ To Hand Out Tofurky, Free Gas

Some “chicks” that refer to themselves as the “lettuce ladies” will be handing out tofurky san-miches that gives you gas…. oh, wait. They will also be giving away free “gasoline”, not the methane associated with tofurky. They will be at the corner of Ellis Ave and Hwy 80 of all places.

The “Lettuce Ladies,” who are members of the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, will wear “nothing but strategically placed lettuce leaves” while handing out the mock-turkey sandwiches and gas to the first 50 people at the Shell Gas station at 2390 Highway 80 West. The event begins at 3 p.m., according to a PETA news release.
