Company seeks to disqualify another policyholder law firm

A Texas law firm should be disqualified from representing State Farm policyholders whose previous attorneys already have been thrown off the cases, one of the companies being sued argues.

E.A. Renfroe, which provides adjusters to insurance companies, wants Provost-Umphrey disqualified from cases involving the former clients of attorney Dickie Scruggs. Provost-Umphrey has signed up more than 200 former Scruggs client, not all of whom have filed lawsuits.
