A lot has been said in the 1st District congressional race about which candidate is out of touch with north Mississippi voters.
While living here in the Jackson area, I have an obvious interest in who the congressman is who represents the district where the people who sign my paycheck live.
Plus, I know both candidates – Republican Southaven Mayor Greg Davis and Democratic Prentiss County Chancery Clerk Travis Childers.
As politicians, both Davis and Childers have taken actions – made tough decisions – that can be used against them. That’s part of the game and both sides do it.
