The attorney for the Hospice House in Tupelo, Sandy Sams, joins me during the 7 a.m. hour Tuesday. I talked with Dr. Paul White’s attorney over the weekend and he has filed motions to dismiss. Some excerpts- “The Defendant would show that the Attorney General’s Office appeared at the March session of the Lee County Grand Jury which began on Monday, March 17, 2008, and began it’s presentation
regarding the investigation of the Sanctuary Hospice House. This presentation lasted two weeks.
The Defendant would show that on Tuesday, March 22, 2008, Ms. Willie Bennett, Ms. Rebecca
Dillard, and Ms. Linda Waters contacted Reporter Holbrook Mohr of the Associated Press and made
statements regarding the Grand Jury investigation. Attached hereto and marked Exhibit “A” is a true
and correct copy of the article by Mr. Holbrook Mohr. Ms. Willie Bennett and Ms. Linda Waters
confirmed that they testified before the Grand Jury.”
Gallo Notes: God bless Republicans but somebody teach them how to fight back. Most of the emails and phone calls following the interview with Senator Wicker this morning reflected that statement. Look at how the democrats roll out a mega-press conference on this tanker contract. You’ve got the entire group in a Capitol HIll rally saying we’ve sent jobs overseas and we’re screwing the American worker. If you know anything about the deal then you understand how skewed that is, but it doesn’t matter. We need conservatives to do the same thing on drilling rights legislation and relaxing some regulation where possible. When I mentioned this to Senator Wicker, he was a bit surprised that Mississippian don’t think they’re fighting hard enough. I undertand that conservatives get the short end of the clock on network coverage, but that just means they have to try harder.
