That changes the picture considerably for Democrat Ronnie Musgrove in his race against Republican interm-Sen. Roger Wicker. This is an open election on the same day as the national election. With Shows in the race, it most likely would have been a runoff, in which Wicker would have the advantage. Now it is a straight up race on Nov.4. As I have said before, If Barack Obama is the Democratic nominee, it is likely Musgrove can win.
