The Senate Insurance Committee has not acted on several Hurricane Katrina-related insurance reform measures and today those bills could die without a vote.
The committee met Monday, but the bills weren’t on the agenda. The committee doesn’t have a meeting set for today, but could call one this morning to prevent some pending measures from dying in committee.
Today is the deadline for legislation to make it out of committee before it is considered dead. Thousands of bills will likely die today.
