Two Republicans announced that they have qualified with the state GOP to run for U.S. representative in the 3rd District.
Both John Rounsaville, of Madison, and Charlie Ross, of Brandon, filed the necessary paperwork today, according to news releases from their respective campaigns.
U.S. Rep. Chip Pickering, who announced in 2007 that he will not seek reelection, is vacating the seat after this year.
