There is an article in today’s Clarion Ledger about Prepaid Legal having an appeal upheld against them in a suit against Barry Gilmer, an attorney in Madison. What the CLarion Ledger failed to mention was that PrePaid Legal has Mike Moore (“resolution counsel” in Katrina cases) on their Advisory Board.
Moore even did an infomercial on Court TV worth watching.
In 2006, the firm settled a suit in Mississippi with over 400 plaintiffs including one that secured a judgement for $9,900,000+.
No word as of yet as to whether Dickie Scruggs used his prepaid legal membership to retain Keker.
