Jackson Mayor Frank Melton named Hinds County Sheriff Malcolm McMillin the city’s new police chief last month.
On Monday, the City Council will vote to confirm him – or not.
There is talk that the council may not.
If that turns out to be the case, then (as I wrote this same time last year), once again, Santa Claus is not coming to this town..
So, in keeping with the spirit of the season, here is my musical, Yuletide plea to the Jackson City Council.
