School funding often fodder for voting-year vows

Every four years, the Mississippi Adequate Education Program sparks support promises on the campaign trail.

Candidate for Mississippi’s top posts of governor and lieutenant governor each promise that the $2.2 billion school funding formula will not lack support in the future.

However, they differ on other education initiatives starved for dollars.
