Secretary of State Eric Clark showed his tough side Monday while giving his voter turnout predictions. It’s something he can do now that he’s stepped back from politics.

How did he arrive at his guesstimate that 710,000 voters will show up Tuesday? Chatting with circuit clerks, looking at the races and the talk on the street – well his street. “It’s just a feel. It’s street talk that you hear. It’s how much excitement there is about how much discussion you hear.”
