All of Mississippi’s political representatives in Washington D.C., except for Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., voted against bills passed last week that would bring millions more children without insurance under the coverage of the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP).
There are an estimated 100,000 children in Mississippi without medical coverage.
