Gov. Haley Barbour flew into DeSoto County on Thursday to stump for a fellow Republican, state Sen. Merle Flowers. Barbour, who also is running for re-election, said without cooperation from legislators like Flowers, he would have no record to campaign on in the governor’s race.
“Leadership means teamwork,” Barbour told about 100 people gathered under a tent outside Flowers’ headquarters in Southaven. “He never forgets who he represents.”
