Governor Haley Barbour will attend a campaign rally for Senator Merle Flowers in Southaven on Thursday, August 2nd. The rally will be held in front of the Flowers Campaign Headquarters (3451 Goodman Road in front of Fire-N-Stone Pizza/Rancho Grande) at 5:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
“I want to make it real plain that in this election for state Senate, I’m for Merle Flowers,” said Barbour. “I hope the voters of DeSoto County will send Merle back to the Senate to be part of a very good team at a time when real leadership is needed,” said Barbour.
Senator Flowers, a conservative Republican, was grateful for Governor Barbour’s endorsement earlier in the summer, and is excited about the upcoming rally. “I was proud to receive a formal endorsement from Governor Haley Barbour in June. He is a good friend, and a great Governor for Mississippi. I hope everyone will bring their family and friends to our rally on Thursday,” said Flowers.
