Voter turnout on Coast is a big wildcard

A big factor that bears heavily on this year’s statewide elections is also one that even the most sophisticated campaign experts can’t figure out how to handicap. The question that seems so far to have escaped public attention is: How many people will turn out to vote in the three Gulf Coast counties post-storm, and who will those people be?
