Stevens? opponent not qualified to run for House District 48
State Rep. Mary Ann Stevens? opponent is not qualified to run against her because he has not met residency requirements, a judge ruled Friday.
Charles Edwards was not a resident of House District 48 for two years prior to the general election, Jones County Circuit Judge Billy Joe Landrum ruled. District 48 covers Holmes, Attala, Carroll, Choctaw, Humphreys and Leake counties.
