Hearing set April 27 to determine if Dale can return to Democratic ticket
A hearing this month will determine whether Insurance Commissioner George Dale can return to the Democratic party?s primary ticket.
The hearing is scheduled for April 27 at 9 a.m. in Jackson, according to an official with the Calhoun County Circuit Clerk?s office. Judge Henry Lackey of Calhoun County has been appointed to preside.
Dale appealed last month to a Hinds County Circuit Court to return his name to the Democratic ballot. State Rep. Mary Ann Stevens of West also filed a court petition. The two were booted from the Democratic party when members of the executive committee questioned their loyalty.
