WELCOMES BRYANT TO LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR’S RACE
Conservative State Senator Charlie Ross (R-Brandon) welcomed Phil Bryant to the Lieutenant Governor’s race today.
“We’re going to have a spirited primary for the office of Lieutenant Governor and give the voters of Mississippi a strong Republican nominee prepared to win in November,” Ross said.
“I welcome my friend, Phil, to this campaign and look forward to a healthy debate about how we, as Republicans, can support Governor Barbour and bring conservative solutions to Mississippi’s problems.”
Ross, who will formally file for the office next month, announced last week that he has already received the support of over 1,000 contributors from all areas of the state and has $835,000 in the bank – a record level of support for this point in a Mississippi Lieutenant Governor’s primary.
Bryant has not yet released details of his level of support.
