King Edward Developers Seek New Financing
Gov. Haley Barbour is promising a special session because several of his key bond projects have been left in limbo, along with millions of dollars in tax credits that were being banked on by developers of the King Edward Hotel.

There’s still hope it could come back around. The developers are simply pushing forward.
“It would have been nice to have that $3 million or $4 million tax credit from the legislative action, but it didn’t happen,” said developer David Watkins.
