Think Jackson Police Department. Quick, what jumps out? The Maple Linder Study. The Five Point Plan. Perceptions, not reality. Too many chiefs. Poor communication. Corruption.

These are the topics that have dominated the headlines and created sound bites about JPD. But when officers do their jobs, or even give something extra, they usually labor largely in the shadows.
