Moore said Wednesday he has been pushing for a centralized booking system in which Hinds County Sheriff Malcolm McMillin would accept all suspects arrested by Jackson police. Under current conditions, jailers at the county’s detention center in Raymond won’t accept all of his officers’ detainees, Moore said.
Moore said he and McMillin have met at least four times about centralized booking since last year. A March 3 meeting was canceled.
