Council Deadlock Could Halt City Paychecks
WLBT, 11/26/7 Jackson city workers may not be paid this week. The council is deadlocked on approving the city payroll, which includes pay raises for recent promotions in the police department. Twenty one hundred Jackson city employees may not receive paychecks Friday after council members voted three to three in approving this week’s payroll.
