A Core Solution Integrative Physical Therapy
Beth Edmiston will complete Ed Langton’s term on the Board.
Beth Edmiston received her Bachelor of Health Science degree from the University of Florida in 1999. Edmiston owns “A Core Solution” physical therapy in Ocean Springs and has worked in outpatient physical therapy settings for the majority of her career.
On Tuesday, Governor Tate Reeves appointed Edmiston to complete the term of Ed Langton on the Mississippi State Board of Health. Langton resigned earlier this year and his term ends in June of 2023.
Edmiston has been in the healthcare field for over 22 years as a physical therapist.
“I knew as a young girl I wanted to work as an advocate and a practitioner to assist people in reaching their highest potential in terms of pain-free movement,” she stated in a release.
Edmiston has taken a comprehensive approach to evaluation and therapy. By utilizing her dry needling certification, extensive Pilates based rehab training and experience, a wide variety of manual skills, and patient specific exercises, she develops a highly beneficial treatment plan for her patients.
Edmiston has also devoted her career and time to being a Pilates rehab teacher and an energetic member of many community organizations in Ocean Springs, including the PTO, Excessive Faculty Soccer Booster membership, First Presbyterian Church, and Ocean Springs Athletic Basis. She is also a volleyball and basketball coach for the Parks and Leisure Division.
“Beth is very dedicated to serving her community, and in this case, her state. We will all benefit from her commitment to the Board of Health,” said State Health Officer Thomas Dobbs in the announcement of her appointment.
