Mullen eager to improve Bulldogs’ offense
No. 21 Mississippi State (7-2, 3-2 Southeastern Conference) enters its bye week relatively healthy but will use the open date to heal and stress fundamentals in practice. Redshirt players will also get more work before the Bulldogs begin to focus on a Nov. 13 trip to No. 5 Alabama.
But what stuck out to Mullen in the Bulldogs’ latest win, the sixth in the longest winning streak at State since 1999? Well, much of the same. The 214 rushing yards were a plus, but a few errant throws by Chris Relf, again, were troublesome.
