Another rollercoaster is looming. At this rate, what once seemed far-fetched is becoming an option: Will Newton, whose value may never be higher, turn pro after his junior season?
Cecil, who according to Sports Illustrated picked Auburn over Mississippi State for his son last January, said he won’t talk with Cam about the NFL until after the season.
“For the most part, that question hasn’t come up,” Cecil said. “I won’t let it. Because it’s way too premature and way out of line. To say something along those lines would be totally uncharacteristic of a team player. It will be December and January before we even give it some speculation.”
