Denard Robinson is more than a gimmick
Robinson put Michigan (2-0) ahead with a 2-yard TD run with 27 seconds remaining in regulation. The run capped a 12-play, 72-yard drive that took just over 3 minutes.
“Our offense came together,” he said. “The offensive line blocked, the receivers catching, everything was clicking. … I’m a team player and I don’t look at stats.”
The stats were definitely worth a look: 258 yards rushing on 28 carries, including an 87-yard TD run in the second quarter; 244 yards passing (24-of-40) and a 31-yard TD toss. Robinson has been responsible for 885 yards in Michigan’s first two games.
