Stanley edging out Masoli…for now

“They’re all doing very good,” Mississippi coach Houston Nutt said about his quarterbacks after Saturday’s scrimmage. “You thought there would be a little more separation by now.” Nutt also said Nathan Stanley ( 3-of-5, 45 yards) would be the starter if the season started today.
With Jeremiah Masoli ( 6-of-12, 101 yards, 1 TD) entering the mix late, I have a feeling we won’t have a sure-fire starter out of Oxford until mid-season. Also in the mix is Randall Mackey ( 5-of-11, 35 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT). Look for both Stanley and Masoli to see snaps in September.
