Playing Race Card Shows Jesse Jackson’s Losing Hand
Like Paris Hilton and Mel Gibson, Jesse Jackson is a celebrity who has lost touch with reality and now only makes news by making outlandish statements that serve to devalue the national discourse.
There was a time when Jesse Jackson was a courageous and forthright truth teller. Those days have passed. Now, Jackson’s a doddering and raving lunatic, a man fighting the battles of his youth in an era that has left behind the antiquated battles of yesteryear. The only weapon Jackson has left in his withered us vs. them arsenal — play the race card and howl with outrage.
How else to explain these comments from Jackson?
“He speaks as an owner of LeBron and not the owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers. His (Cavs owner Dan Gilbert’s) feelings of betrayal personify a slave master mentality. He sees LeBron as a runaway slave,” Jackson said.
