New Orleans Saints Coach Sean Payton and linebackers coach Joe Vitt are the unnamed “senior staff members” who were referenced in a lawsuit filed Friday by the team’s former security director, who claims he was asked to cover up abuses of a prescription painkiller, according to sources. The lawsuit claims Payton was distributed a large number of Vicodin pills despite having no medical condition, while Vitt is accused of stealing the painkiller from the team’s drug cabinet.
