Ferentz plays mum with media about ND job
Notre Dame wants ”confidentiality” when it comes to its coach search.
Apparently plenty of candidates — including Iowa’s Kirk Ferentz, Cincinnati’s Brian Kelly and Connecticut’s Randy Edsall — have gotten that memo.
All three are keeping mum when it comes to questions about Notre Dame.
A source said Northwestern hasn’t been contacted yet by Notre Dame for permission to talk to coach Pat Fitzgerald.
Ferentz wouldn’t say Wednesday if the Irish had contacted him.
