Terry Saban once told her husband to hire Urban Meyer
TUSCALOOSA – If Nick Saban had listened to his wife, Florida coach Urban Meyer would have been one of his assistant coaches once upon a time.
Alabama’s coach told the story today about an interesting phone call years ago.
“You can get Terry to tell you this story,” Saban said. “And I’m not sure which job it was or where it was. Maybe it was when I became the head coach at Toledo.”
That would have been 1990.
