Faulk could join investment group
After the messy departure of Rush Limbaugh from the investment group led by Dave Checketts that is bidding for the St. Louis Rams, sources tell ESPN that former Rams running back Marshall Faulk could join the group.
A source also said that global financier and philanthropist George Soros is not under consideration to become part of the Checketts group.
Limbaugh said Thursday during his radio show that he believes he’s been made an example by a players’ union seeking leverage in talks over a new collective bargaining agreement. What happened to him was an illustration of “Obama’s America on full display,” the commentator said.
Limbaugh said Checketts had assured him NFL officials had cleared him as a potential part-owner of a team. But NFL officials tell the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that’s news to them.
