Less than two years after another late slide and lower-tier bowl game, Alabama’s football program has reached the midway point unbeaten and in the national title hunt for the second consecutive season.
It’s a recurring topic, but as the 2007 season fades farther in the rear-view mirror, the Crimson Tide’s current veterans are looking back and opening up more about how far the team has come in a short time.
Said senior place-kicker Leigh Tiffin: “That (2007) team was just a mess. I think it’s always a little bit like that when a new coach comes in, because a lot of the older guys are used to what the other coach did. That was probably the problem. I think everybody’s on board now though.”
