Right now, the Tigers are a winning version of lovable losers. You know full well they’re going to struggle in some areas and might leave their fans wanting for more. But that’s become part of the team’s personality.
And that’s far from being a bad thing.
Already, comparisons between the 2002 Ohio State national championship team and the current Tigers have been hatched.
That’s certainly an association LSU could live with. All that group of Buckeyes did was win ugly all the way to a stunning upset of Miami in the BCS national championship game in the Arizona desert.
Don’t forget, either, that the Tigers’ 2007 national crown had plenty of unexpected drama and close calls throughout the ride.
