STARKVILLE — Tyson Lee was limited in Monday’s Mississippi State practice, but coach Dan Mullen said he’s confident he can have his senior quarterback on the field Saturday when the Bulldogs open Southeastern Conference play at Auburn.
Lee suffered from shoulder spasms and didn’t play during the second half of the Bulldogs’ 45-7 win over Jackson State last week.
“We’ll see more tomorrow with him throwing the ball,” Mullen told reporters at his weekly media conference. “He thinks he’ll be 100 percent by tomorrow, is what he told me. He’ll be fine. We fully expect him to be full-go tomorrow.”
Lee said he didn’t feel the spasms until the first throw he attempted warming up for the second half. That’s when he called for a trainer. “It’s still a little sore today, but it’s a lot better than it was Saturday,” Lee said.
