John Calipari being allowed to coach is better than he deserves
John Calipari, hired by Kentucky from Memphis this offseason, unquestionably is a great college basketball coach. But, unquestionably, he should be an unemployed great college basketball coach.
When Memphis officially vacates its 2008 Final Four appearance, as it’s scheduled to have to do today, Calipari will become the first coach in history to vacate Final Four appearances at two schools, with Massachusetts also having been forced to erase from its history books a Final Four appearance in 1996.
