Coaches breathe easier about WRs
STARKVILLE — It was only one day, with only two practices. Pads weren’t worn and there was no blocking or tackling. The two workouts were split up between veterans and newcomers.
But Mark Hudspeth, Mississippi State’s wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator, left this long, hot day feeling much, much better about the roster he’ll work with this fall at receiver.
“After being out here for today’s practices, I feel really good about where we are with this group,” Hudspeth said Monday evening, soon after the Bulldogs completed their first preseason practices under coach Dan Mullen and his staff.
