Peria Jerry had just arrived at his agent Bus Cook’s Hattiesburg office Saturday afternoon when he answered his cell phone just as the NFL draft began.
Nervous, Peria?
“Yes sir, just a tad,” he answered.
Like before a big game?
“No sir,” Jerry answered. “Nothing like that. Before a game, I can prepare myself. I have some control over that. I’ve got no control over this.”
Do you have a team you would prefer?
“No sir, it really doesn’t matter, I just want a chance to play somewhere.”
