CLARKSDALE — Millsaps quarterback Juan Joseph sat at a table in the middle of Clarksdale Country Club, munching on a good meal, without any expectation of actually winning the Cellular South Conerly Trophy.
That’s because to his left sat Ole Miss defensive tackle Peria Jerry. He’s a 6-foot-2, 300-pounder whose 17 tackles for a loss this season lead the Southeastern Conference and is the eighth-best mark in the nation.
