Rivals.com officially ranked Macon, Miss. (Noxubee County) wide receiver Patrick Patterson as the top player in the Magnolia State yesterday. Now that it is official where does the state’s top player stand in the recruiting process?
“Right now I have a top three,” Patterson said. “Mississippi State, LSU and Alabama are my top three right now. It’s hard to say that any of the three standout right now. At one point or another I could say that any of the three of them were my leader. I am pretty sure I will end up at one of those three places.”
The 6-foot-3, 215-pound Patterson is currently ranked as the the nation’s No. 43 overall prospect and is four star prospect by Rivals.com.
“At Mississippi State I really like the coaches,” Patterson said. “I feel real comfortable around them and it feels like home every time I go there. At LSU, they are one of the top teams in the country every year and they put a ton of guys in the NFL. If you go there you know you will get to compete for championships. With Alabama, there is so much tradition and history. I like the offense they are going to run and the coaches there are real cool too.”
