Governor calls for more school choice at Neshoba County Fair
NESHOBA COUNTY — More charter schools and school choice as well as improving education for children in daycare will be a major focus of his agenda for the remainder of his term, Gov. Phil Bryant told an enthusiastic crowd Thursday at the Neshoba County Fair.
“It’s seems so simple to me to move an education component into daycare,” Bryant said.
He said community colleges will help train daycare workers. “Workforce of the future is daycare of today,” Bryant said.
Bryant said the state can use temporary assistance to needy families funding to help with the training. He said the goal will be to use a partnership of state, federal and private monies.
