Local lawmakers discuss Mississippi’s 2016 legislative session
District 41 State Senator Joey Fillingane said budgeting will affect people in the Pine Belt.
He said revenue projections have not been met over the last couple months.
“We’re going to hope that revenues start picking up a little bit so that we’ll have more money to spread around to the different agencies and departments,” Fillingane said. “But we’ll definitely be very watchful and conservative this year.”
