MS House Democrats not settled on new Minority Leader

By: Magnolia Tribune - December 16, 2015

House Democratic leader remains a question mark

There has been speculation that the House Democrats will not name a leader.

“I know the reality,” Holland said. “They (Republicans) have the votes and can work their will.”

Still, many said a minority leader is needed to serve as a spokesman for the opposition. Some names have emerged as a possible new Democratic leader, including Robert Johnson, D-Natchez; Tyrone Ellis, D-Starkville; Nick Bain, D-Corinth and the aforementioned Holland and Baria.

Like Holland, Bain said he is not interested in the post.
